Our engineers run extensive research programs to understand how people interact with our chairs, so we can optimize them for better ergonomic support.

Dynamic lumbar support
People of varying heights and builds produce vastly differing peak pressure patterns. A well-designed chair should distribute weight equally well for all body shapes and sizes.
Our labs are equipped with sensor-lined pressure mats to map and assess pressure distribution.
Our patent-pending 4-way L-ADAPT™ Lumbar Support System* is the most advanced ever on a gaming chair, far outperforming traditional 2-way lumbar systems. It can be adjusted for height and depth, tucking neatly into the curvature of your lower back.

Secretlab cold-cure foam is deliberately formulated to be medium-firm — the optimal balance for that gentle, cradling feel. Cast as a single piece from precise aluminum molds, it enjoys a uniform consistency throughout for more even pressure distribution.

Why we design our foam to be medium-firm
While soft foam might feel more comfortable when you first sit down, it lacks the necessary ergonomic support to absorb stress over time — and instead transfers it directly to your body, leading to pain and discomfort.
Studies show that firmer foam surfaces decrease pressure on key areas, such as the ischial tuberosity (sit bones), lowering the risk of back pain from prolonged periods of sitting.¹ This is due to reduced spinal loads, which prevent lower back strain.

Secretlab NanoFoam™ Composite
Secretlab NanoFoam™ Composite combines our trademark medium-firm cold-cure foam with a soft, lightweight microfoam top. Our next-generation foam cuts through decades-old assumptions to deliver a soft, cushioned feel while still maintaining full ergonomic support for your body — bringing together conventionally opposing qualities to deliver our softest and most supportive foam yet.
Specialized Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and pressure mapping software allow us to optimize the thickness ratio and position of our cold-cure foam and microfoam across the seat base and backrest, down to the millimeter. A biomechanical model of the human body was also used to simulate stress on internal tissues, allowing us to identify which areas of the seat require more support or greater softness. This ensures targeted support at regions with higher pressure peaks, such as the rear of the seat base. To account for different body types, individual parameters such as body weight, body surface area, and lower limb muscle volume were considered to develop a formulation that would work for the vast majority of users.

Our engineers worked with testers of varying heights, weights, and body types from all across the world, shaping and contouring the seat base and backrest to minimize pressure peaks.
Proprietary pebble seat base
Shaped for optimal ergonomic support to accommodate natural movement and multiple postures. The gently sloping sides guide you toward the middle for a larger contact area and a lower and more uniform pressure distribution.² The flared edges make even more room for the full range of postures, with none of the constraints of a typical bucket seat.
Waterfall edge
We identified common pressure points and molded our seat for greater comfort. The gentler seat incline takes pressure off your thighs, while the more acute angle of the seat edge reduces pressure behind your knees. The rounded edge maintains blood circulation,³ reducing the risk of varicose veins and other circulatory issues.
Backrest
The side wings on most gaming chairs adopt an aggressive curve of over 55°, forcing your shoulders forward into an unnatural position. The Secretlab TITAN Evo features a far gentler 30° slope, which follows the natural horizontal curve of your shoulders. It supports your shoulders, while still giving you room to move.

A more aggressive upper curve provides enhanced support and pressure relief for the base of your head and supports it in a neutral position. Shorter Class 4 hydraulics
We design our chairs for an optimal fit for as many people as possible. This means being able to set your feet flat on the floor, with your knees bent at roughly 90°.
A new, shorter hydraulic mechanism for the Secretlab TITAN Evo Size S and R accommodates an even wider range of heights, so you can plant your feet comfortably.

Your chair should look and feel as good as it did on Day 1. That’s why we’re constantly refining the composition of each layer of our leatherette and the construction of our signature fabric, so they feel better and last even longer.
Secretlab NanoGen™ Hybrid Leatherette
Secretlab NanoGen™ Hybrid Leatherette is an ultra-soft, ultra-resilient leatherette that sets a new standard in material innovation. Characterized by a rich grain and a luxurious sheen that is immediately apparent at the first touch, it is our plushest leatherette yet, and 14x more durable than regular PU leather.
Over the past decade, our engineers have experimented with different leatherette compositions, studying the best attributes of each one and how to reproduce them in the same material. Employing the latest manufacturing technologies, we developed a method to integrate ultra-dense nanofibers into both the surface and base layers through an advanced needle-point process, enhancing that buttery-soft feel under the skin as well as stain and UV resistance.

Over the past 6 years, we’ve worked with myriad types of leatherette and learnt a lot about how to bring out the best in it. Secretlab NEO™ Hybrid Leatherette exhibits a super smooth grain, recreating the rich luster of NAPA leather. Using the latest manufacturing technologies developed right in our labs, a unique resin top laminate is bonded to the base layer. A careful finishing process results in an ultra-smooth top hide that feels incredible under your skin.
Regular PU leather peels in humid environments. The middle foam layer absorbs moisture and gradually degrades due to hydrolysis. To avoid this, we stripped out the middle layer and reinforced the base with a bespoke 3D structure of ultra-fine polyester fibers for exceptional strength, flex, and abrasion resistance.

We experimented with 8 different leatherette compositions to find one that could further improve the durability of our industry-leading Secretlab PRIME™ 2.0 Leatherette. 12x more durable than regular PU leather, Secretlab NEO™ Hybrid Leatherette combines the finest elements of different leatherette samples.
Our leatherette is subject to the Taber Abrasion Test — the industry standard for wear resistance — where the sliding rotation of two abrading wheels reveals abrasion resistance at all angles relative to the grain. With rub-wear action over 10,000,000 square millimeters of surface area using a 300% heavier load, our leatherette has been tested to outlast even the harshest conditions.
Secretlab SoftWeave™ Plus Fabric
A technical knit that’s a first for performance seating. Interlacing loops of high-strength yarn fibers allow for smaller details to be incorporated in each and every stitch. With control over every thread and pixel, we’re able to implement multiple layers of varying colors, shades, and tones. This enables us to map complex designs into our fabric, including a 3D gradient knit on the side wings and seat base of each chair.

Drop Load Proof Test

A vertical force of 600N is applied at points most likely to result in overturning.
